Remove Facebook Notifications

Facebook can send you alerts through email or text for nearly every possible interaction on its site. The notices can inform you if you've got a new message, were mentioned in a post, tagged in a picture or comments on your wall; among other things. You'll also see these interactions when you visit to Facebook. If you wish to eliminate certain notifications, you can pull out by modifying your notification settings. Pop-up alerts that appear while you're visited can be erased right away , Remove Facebook Notifications.

On the Mobile App (Android).


1. Open the Facebook app. It's the white "F" on a blue background icon. If you're logged in, doing so will open your News Feed.

  • If you aren't already logged into Facebook, key in your e-mail address (or phone number) and password and tap Log In.


2. Tap the world icon. It's at the top of the screen. Doing so will open your current alerts.

3. Tap and hold a notice. You should see a context menu with Hide notification appear after about a 2nd.

4. Tap Hide alert. Doing so will get rid of the notice from your current notices menu and the activity log.

On the Mobile App (iPhone).


1. Open the Facebook app. It's the white "F" on a blue background icon. If you're visited, doing so will open your News Feed.

  • If you aren't already logged into Facebook, enter your e-mail address (or telephone number) and password and tap Log In.


2. Tap the world icon. It's at the bottom of the screen and to the left of the ☰ icon. Doing so will open your current notices.

3. Swipe left on an alert. Doing so will bring up the Hide option to the right of the notification.

4. Tap Conceal. Doing this will remove the alert from your Facebook activity log; you'll not see it when you tap the globe icon.
You can duplicate this process for each notice you want to clear.

On Desktop.


1. Open the Facebook site. If you're logged into Facebook, doing so will open your News Feed.

  • If you aren't logged into Facebook, enter your email address (or phone number) into the top right corner of the screen and click Log In.


2. Click the alerts world. It remains in the leading ideal side of the screen. Doing so will open a drop-down menu of your recent Facebook notice.

3. Hover your cursor over a notice. You need to see a "..." icon and a small circle appear on the ideal side of the notification's box.

  • For example, if you wish to eliminate an alert about a friend liking your status, you 'd position the mouse cursor over" [Name] likes your post: [Post]".


4. Click the "..." button. You'll see this in the leading right corner of the private alert's box.

5. Click Hide this notice. It's on the best side of the screen. Doing so will immediately remove the notification from the world icon menu and avoid it from appearing again when you open the Current Notices menu later.
