Putting images on Facebook is easy; not so easy is keeping all those Facebook images private, "Make Photos Private Facebook".

Watch Out for "Public" by Default

By default, Facebook all frequently makes pictures and other product you publish on the social media public, implying anybody can see it. So your huge challenge with sharing Facebook images is making sure you restrict who can see them.

Facebook changed its personal privacy settings in a major redesign in 2011. The brand-new privacy settings provide Facebook users more granular control over who gets to see exactly what, but they also are a bit more complicated and can be tough to analyze.

Any photo that you're tagged in "belongs" to somebody else. Unless it's a picture of you that you tagged yourself in.

If it's a picture of you that you took and tagged yourself in, you "own" the photo, and are for that reason in charge of its privacy settings. You can pick "Just Me" from the drown down menu on the image, thus:

Photos that others have actually tagged you in will stay public, even if you get rid of the tag from that photo Whoever submitted the photo that your tagged in "owns" that image.

To remove a tag, click the fall arrow at the top of the post/ photo and click "Eliminate Tag":

You'll get this alert though:

You can also change your timeline privacy settings. These are mine:

Go to settings from the drop down menu:

Then select "Timeline and Tagging".

You'll have the ability to control exactly what can be posted on your timeline, and if you see somebody has tagged a photo of you, you can remove the tag and choose to hide it from your timeline.

Facebook will signal you to anyone who's tagged you in anything on your real timeline, at the bottom right of your cover photo.

In summary, just your own material can be made private. Anything you have actually been tagged in by others will be public - however you have the choice to hide this material from your timeline.
