Delete Facebook Notifications

Facebook can send you notices through email or text for nearly every possible interaction on its website. The alerts can alert you if you've got a new message, were mentioned in a post, tagged in a picture or comments on your wall; to name a few things. You'll likewise see these interactions when you log in to Facebook. If you want to get rid of certain alerts, you can pull out by editing your alert settings. On the Mobile App (Android).


1. Open the Facebook app. It's the white "F" on a blue background icon. If you're logged in, doing so will open your News Feed.

  • If you aren't already logged into Facebook, type in your e-mail address (or contact number) and password and tap Log In.


2. Tap the world icon. It's at the top of the screen. Doing so will open your recent notices.

3. Tap and hold an alert. You ought to see a context menu with Hide notice pop up after about a second.

4. Tap Conceal notification. Doing so will remove the notification from your recent notices menu and the activity log.

On the Mobile App (iPhone).


1. Open the Facebook app. It's the white "F" on a blue background icon. If you're visited, doing so will open your News Feed.

  • If you aren't currently logged into Facebook, type in your e-mail address (or contact number) and password and tap Log In.


2. Tap the globe icon. It's at the bottom of the screen and to the left of the ☰ icon. Doing so will open your current notifications.

3. Swipe left on a notice. Doing so will raise the Hide alternative to the right of the notice.

4. Tap Hide. Doing this will eliminate the alert from your Facebook activity log; you'll no longer see it when you tap the globe icon.
You can repeat this process for each notification you want to clear.

On Desktop.


1. Open the Facebook site. If you're logged into Facebook, doing so will open your News Feed.

  • If you aren't logged into Facebook, enter your email address (or contact number) into the top right corner of the screen and click Log In.


2. Click the notifications world. It's in the leading ideal side of the screen. Doing so will open a drop-down menu of your recent Facebook notice.

3. Hover your cursor over a notice. You need to see a "..." icon and a little circle appear on the ideal side of the notification's box.

  • For instance, if you wish to remove an alert about a friend liking your status, you 'd put the mouse cursor over" [Call] likes your post: [Post]".


4. Click the "..." button. You'll see this in the top right corner of the private alert's box.

5. Click Conceal this alert. It's on the ideal side of the screen. Doing so will promptly remove the notification from the globe icon menu and avoid it from appearing again when you open the Current Notifications menu later on.
